Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Program

Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Program is promoted by the Malaysian Government that offers a renewable 5 year, 10-year, 15 year, or 20 year multiple-entry Social Visit Pass for qualified applicants who wish to live in Malaysia or spend extended periods in the country. Upon expiry, the visa is renewable in 5-year increments. The program is open to citizens of countries recognized by Malaysia, regardless of race, religion, gender, or age.

The visa duration depends on the selected category: Silver, Gold, Platinum, or the Economic and Financial Special Zone group. The Silver category grants a 5-year visa, the Gold category a 15-year visa, and the Platinum category a 20-year visa. Applicants under the Economic and Financial Special Zone group receive a 10-year visa, which is renewable for life. One application covers the entire family. Applicants are allowed to bring their spouses, unmarried children under 21 years old (including stepchildren and adopted children), and their parents or parents-in-law as dependents. Children aged 21 to 34 who are unmarried and not working in Malaysia may also be included. Foreign domestic helpers are allowed for Platinum participants only. Those in the Platinum category may also invest, start a business, pursue studies, and enjoy retirement life in Malaysia.

MM2H: Benefits & Perks

Since its launch, Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme has won wide popularity among a large number of foreigners thanks to its low entry requirements, simple application procedures and preferential benefits. It has blazed a new trail for Malaysia’s development and foreign investment, and also become a unique highlight of Malaysia’s tourism industry.
MM2H holders may relocate to Malaysia without changing nationality or filing for registration. They can directly apply for visas to other countries in Malaysia without returning to their home countries, which saves time and ensures a high approval rate. Additionally, only Platinum-tier participants are eligible to make investments in Malaysia.
For children under 21 years old of MM2H holders, there is no need to apply for a student visa on an annual basis for further studies in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Platinum participants are allowed to hire one foreign domestic helper to reside in Malaysia.
With medical insurance purchased by MM2H holders and their family members, they are entitled to hospital allowances and covered medical expenses during their stay in Malaysia.

China ranks first in MM2H applications

Today, Malaysia is home to around 7.5 million ethnic Chinese. With a time-honored Chinese cultural heritage taking deep root in the country, there are no language barriers or cultural differences between Malaysians of Chinese descent and Chinese nationals. Consequently, Chinese citizens can adapt to and integrate into Malaysia’s multicultural society with greater ease and efficiency.
Kuala Lumpur Standard Time follows UTC+8, the same time zone as Beijing Time in China, meaning there is no time difference between the two regions. Flights from northern and southern Chinese cities to Kuala Lumpur take merely 3 to 6 hours.
Boasting comprehensive advantages in geography, climate, language, culture and development, China has long secured its position at the top of the list among the top 10 applicant countries for the Malaysia My Second Home Programme.
